JustChurchy started as a clothing brand in 2023, celebrating the joy, culture, and timeless phrases that resonate through Black church pews. Launched during my birthday celebration, it began as a heartfelt tribute to Black church culture—a way to share the humor, inspiration, and legacy of classical Pentecostalism with my family and friends. From stickers to mugs and apparel, the collection honors the sayings that brought us joy, encouragement, and, sometimes, a knowing laugh.
Honoring Black Church Culture and Kingdom Unity
But Just Churchy is more than just a brand. It's a movement to keep the culture alive while honoring the traditions, theology, and vibrant community of the Black church. Whether you grew up Baptist, Methodist, or another tradition, these iconic phrases have become a shared experience, woven into the fabric of our faith.
At Just Churchy, we also recognize that in the Kingdom of God, there is no “Black church” or “White church.” We are one body, united in Christ, and this unity is at the heart of our mission. While we celebrate the unique traditions and history of Black church culture, we do so with the understanding that God’s Kingdom transcends cultural boundaries, embracing all His people in love and grace.
